Students that complete the All-Hazards Planning Section Chief (PSC) Course open the door to assignments in the role.  This is no small thing as the PSC is the keeper of the process, the facilitator of communication and a de facto leader of the incident management team (IMT).  In this episode I share what is key to focus on when taking the PSC course to enable newly graduated students to take on an assignment as a All-Hazards Planning Section Chief.

• Study and be familiar with what the Planning Section’s Units do

• Study and know the Planning “P” …well

• Study and be familiar with who contributes what from the IMT
