Processing Difficult Emotions and Finding Peace with Nephi (2 Nephi 4)

Today we follow Nephi's lead in processing negative emotions that are pulling us down.

Here are the questions we used for our

contemplative journal exercise:

1. What life circumstances seem to be causing my

stress or discomfort?

2. What thoughts have I had about those circumstances that

are causing my negative emotions?

3. How am I experiencing those emotions physically? Where are they in my body? What can I do to allow them to be there?

4.How do the feelings/sensations change as I open up and accept them?

5.What past experiences have I had with God that call me to

trust God now?

6.What truths did I learn about God from those past experiences?

7.What feelings flow out of those truths? (Allow yourself to feel them deeply)

8.What has changed inside me since I started this exercise?
