Producing Content to Educate Your Customers (Episode 78)

What’s the goal of your business blog? Is it to inform, inspire, or enlighten your prospective customers? If so, then you are educating them:

  • About your sector, the relevant issues, and considerations of the purchase path.
  • About you, your company, and the product or service you offer.
  • You may not think of yourself as an educator, but that’s what you’re doing. You’re writing non-fiction, and non-fiction is education.

    Teaching is hard, and learning is harder. I know this first-hand because I do a lot of teaching and training, not to mention a long career in designing educational materials. In this week’s episode, I get into how to produce teaching content as you design and execute your content strategy.

    There are four key factors to producing good educational content: Structure, Sequence, Pacing, and Resources. So let’s dig in and start to educate your customers!
