This week, Tranos addresses some barriers to her piece. Though Tranos & the Lived Experience is striving to generate more positivity and comfort, certain people in the world are making it hard to focus on that. This episode examines the fake outrage on the right about Dylan Mulvaney’s brand deals with Bud Light and Nike. She’s an unobjectionable, white trans woman, and June’s coming up. It’s the most usual thing in the world, but conservatives and their figureheads are mobilizing boycotts where they buy a bunch of product and destroy it- which is not what a boycott is. But this misguided, flailing, ineffective outrage is drowning out important discussion about actual serious stuff like Tennessee lawmakers illegally attacking democracy in their state. There are layers of distraction that need to be peeled away before Kamryn can find room to focus on herself, but she’s still working to find that balance. This episode is musically inspired by “Like A Villain” by Bad OmensThis episode’s strain is Han Solo BurgerOur theme music is “Supernova” by Arthur Vyncke | https://soundcloud.com/arthurvostMusic promoted by https://www.free-stock-music.comCreative Commons / Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported (CC BY-SA 3.0)https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/deed.en_USFollow Kamryn @TranosPod on TikTok@TheTranos on Twitter, @TranosLives on Instagram
