Tan and Lucy are joined by Professor Nader Francis, a consultant colorectal surgeon and with a significant body of research work. They discuss some of the challenges of continue to publish research from a regional location away from the major academic institutions and reflect on the importance of engaging with research and ongoing training throughout a surgical career.
