In this podcast, Beyond Zero radio's Anthony Daniele and Matt Grantham talk to Prof Paul Dastoor, Director of the Centre for Organic Electronics at the University of Newcastle, about the recent 100sqm installation of printed solar cells, manufactured at his research centre. Printed solar has applications as diverse as the energy crisis, diabetes and mining safety.
"There are just three demonstration sites at this scale that we know of anywhere in the world, so Australia has joined quite an elite group of global leaders poised to make this technology a commercial reality... The greatest issue the world is facing is energy production. We have billions of people who have no access to energy or electrical power at all.” [Photo supplied by Paul Dastoor]
