There is a profound housing crisis in north Leitrim.

That’s according to Independent Councillor Eddie Mitchell, who was speaking following confirmation that 81 families in the Manorhamilton MD are currently on the social housing waiting list.

Cllr Mitchell believes that more needs to be done to assist those on the list.
