In this podcast episode we talk about the difference between progress versus movement. I feel that a lot of people confuse movement for progress, or movement for "doing the work".
Just because one is checking off all the practices and all the things one should be doing on one's spiritual journey, doesn't mean you're actually deepening your journey or advancing forward.
Just because you sit down in silence for 20 minutes doesn't mean you're actually meditating. You may be sitting in silence but if your intention is off or you're still entertaining negative thoughts during that sitting, you're not really allowing yourself to go in meditative state, or allowing yourself to sincerely connect with Source.
Just because you sage yourself, doesn't mean that you will completely remove negative energy from yourself or your surroundings.
All of these things, and more, are simply just activities and part of the "doing" part and not necessarily the "being" or "becoming" part of the journey.
Ask yourself if you feel you are creating more movement than progress. If you are feeling stuck still even after "doing the work" most likely you're just creating movement. Tune in to learn about what you can do to get unstuck and actually progress.
