ABOUT THIS MESSAGE:
Though, in some respects, prayer is a natural impulse in the heart of a believer, we have much to learn from Jesus about prayer. We need Jesus to teach us to ask for those things that our Father in heaven promises us. We need to learn to claim in prayer what he wants for us more than what we want from him. And learning these things isn't like many other things in life that we learn and do correctly for the rest of our lives. It takes struggle and persistence . But the desire and power for that struggle are provided by God. His promises give us something firm to grab on to us we pray. And while what we want from him will often need to change, what he wants for us never will.
