During CES, Andy McCaskey turned me on to this application. Prompterous – Labotec turns your iPad into a teleprompter. With Prompterous you can type in text or bring it in from a text file up on your dropbox or Google Docs. Fix the font and spacing settings in the app – if you run a camera teleprompter system through your iPad then you can even reverse the text.
Prompterous for iPad
Prompterous has options to scroll through the text, slow it down, speed it up or even pause text so you can catch up. Prompterous is perfect for those reading script on camera or trying to learn a speech for school, work or that big keynote you might be giving next week.
Prompterous is $1.99 in the app store (www.prompterous.com)
On-Stage iPad Mount
Also I show you a cool product I saw at CES for musicians. It’s the On-Stage uMount iPad holder. The iPad case has a screw mount on the bottom which connects to an aluminum arm. You can connect the arm to a microphone stand so you can get lyrics and chords while you are playing. Turn it around and show off pictures at your shows or maybe give people lyrics to sing with.
On Stage uMount is $39.95
