Proper Hitbodedut | Is it all about me?

We call Hitbodedut Personal prayer. Personal meaning a personal connection to Hashem not necessarily asking on everything we personally want. The Zohar says that those who come before Hashem and just say give me give me are equated to dogs. In hebrew the sound of the dog (Woof Woof) is Hav Hav translates to give give. We need to tap into a higher more proper Hitbodedut were we pray on Hashem and others and where we pray for things we need in spirituality not only physicality.
