What's it really like to share a business, a bed and the school run with the same person?
In our very first episode, we (Heidi and Chris) introduce ourselves properly: married for 16 years, parents, business partners, and together 24/7. We even forget the name of our own podcast in the first minute, so you know exactly what you're getting.
Chris tells the story of how he got sacked, spent a full day applying for seven jobs, and decided that if we were ever going to do property together, this was the moment. We talk about his eight years in IT and information security, five of them in a civilian role at West Yorkshire Police after leaving the military, and why he has no interest in going back to a job where every minute is tracked and you have to look busy once the work is done.
Heidi shares how she went from volunteer to contracts manager at Shelter, housing people leaving prison, and the throwaway comment at work that started it all: "I bet I can set up a business and house these people quicker than this contract."
We take you back to where our property journey began:

This podcast is for anyone building something with their partner, thinking about it, or just wondering how anyone does it without going mad. Expect the deals, the decisions and the disagreements, plus the bits nobody puts on Instagram, with plenty of laughs (and the odd swear word) along the way.
If something we said made you laugh, made you feel less alone, or made you nudge your other half, please follow, subscribe and leave us a review. It helps more couples find us. And send it to someone who works with their partner. They'll know exactly why.
