In the biblical times of the Torah and the Prophets the High Priest would make atonement for the Priests, who could then make atonement for the people and their sins by the sacrificial offerings and sprinkling of blood. These according to Numbers 29:39 are the ‘set feasts’ which were to be done.  Also in this chapter you will find the offerings, burnt offerings, meat offerings, drink offerings, and peace offerings in regard to the feasts. The point is, although Israel strives hard to keep the law and all that this entails, they have no temple and no ongoing sacrifices.  In order to be fully compliant with the law, they must be making these offerings and sacrifices.  What this means is that the first order for Israel will be to rebuild the temple, which many are pushing to do in Israel.

Num 29:39

(39)  These things ye shall do unto the LORD in your set feasts, beside your vows, and your freewill offerings, for your burnt offerings, and for your meat offerings, and for your drink offerings, and for your peace offerings.

Then following these High holy days will be booths, called the Feast [Chag] of Tabernacles [sukkah, sukkot]. The importance of feasts and holy days cannot be under estimated, nor the fact that today Jesus Christ, Yeshua Ha Massiach has fulfilled these feasts. In our studies we have covered this yearly. However as we do enter into these feasts let also point to what we consider very prophetic events.

Col 2:16-17(16)  Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:(17)  Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.
