Hello folks! In this episode we will mention some key female prophetic figures, namely: Huldah, Deborah and Miriam of the Old Testament, and Elizabeth, Mary, and Anna of the new. Each of these figures were married, thus an inference that they were operating under a male authority but still free to serve the Lord. In some sense they are anomalies in that they could do both, in some sense. We later verge on the question of how a prophet or prophetess is anointed. Unlike priests which have a special anointing oil rite, prophets and prophetess according to the scripture are anointed directly by God, and in turn they anoint priests (Moses), Kings (Samuel), and leaders (Deborah). What measure or tests do we use to qualify prophets or prophetess in our local bodies, aside from predictions coming to pass?
