INTERCESSION AND THE DAYS OF SPIRITUAL WARFARE!
We are currently experiencing a period of profound and intense conflict, where various forces are attempting to influence and steer both the Church and the people's will towards narratives that contradict the Lord's divine purpose.
I am particularly referring to the agendas of specific individuals in government roles, along with the spiritual governance that directly affects human leaders. All governments are spiritually linked to influences that extend beyond their reach, regardless of whether those influences are beneficial or detrimental.
Nations are shaped and influenced not only by effective political strategies, wealth, and innovation but also by the acknowledgement of God's presence, who appoints and removes Kings and rulers. This divine awareness fosters a spirit of authentic leadership characterized by sobriety, wisdom, courage, and the enduring peace and prosperity of its people.
Our identity and representation are intricately tied to spiritual influence. The real challenge arises when we allow ignorance and the agendas of darkness to exploit our spiritual power and influence, seeking to establish a conflicting order on earth. This is precisely what the enemy has attempted since the arrival of Christ.
Ezekiel 22:30: “I looked for someone among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found no one.”
The present era is a pivotal moment in the unfolding of God’s prophetic initiatives across the globe. If there is a singular focus that will define the current emphasis and directives of heaven, it is the cultivation of a well-developed, mature intercessory spirit.
The depth and quality of our understanding of intercession—and our approach to operating within the intercessory space—are critical to the Body of Christ. Indeed, the lack of a robust intercessory framework is arguably one of the key reasons for the unfortunate stagnation and decline in spiritual effectiveness observed in the Church over the past few decades.
The Intercessory Space: A Foundational Womb
The intercessory space is the spiritual womb that carries, births, and nurtures all ministry gifts and leadership qualities. This sacred space is where divine purposes are conceived and brought to fruition.
When this space is compromised, every other structure we attempt to build crumbles like a house of cards. Intercession is not merely a supplemental activity within the Church; it is the bedrock upon which the health and vitality of all other spiritual functions rest.
Without intercessory competence, the Church risks birthing immature and unstable leadership and ministries that cannot withstand the pressures of a broken world.
