Welcome to the Doomloop Dispatch, the news show covering the worst parts of the San Francisco Bay Area. With the election coming next Tuesday, we thought we'd dedicate an episode to Prop D, an insidious attempt by the wealthy to take over San Francisco politics. It's such a brazen plan they made a Power Point outlining their entire plan and this is a big part of it. On the show are Doug Engmann, a former president of the San Francisco Planning Commission who's been active in San Francisco politics for over 50 years; and Jeremy Mack of the Phoenix Project, a non-profit researching the connection between the rich and political movements in San Francisco. We get into the real purpose of Prop D, the consequences regular folks will face if it passes and how this isn't even the first time San Francisco has seen a movement like this.
