Prospecting can be unpredictable, & it's never certain where your next lead will come from...
I remember early on my career spending an entire day door-knocking, with not a single positive response. It was disheartening, to say the least. But, when I got back to the office, I found a voicemail waiting for me. It was a potential seller looking to list their property, and it reminded me of the universal law of CONSISTENT EFFORT. ā
š While your efforts may not always lead to direct results, something magical happens when you put in the work. The leads will show up when you least expect them to.
I had another instance where I had been spending money on mailers to a farm with no results. But, while waiting in line at the dry cleaners, someone recognized me & asked about a property I had sold. As luck would have it, the owner of the dry cleaners overheard the conversation & asked me to take a look at their house and potentially list it! It goes to show that consistent prospecting will lead to consistent business, even if it's not always in the way you expect it to be.
