People don’t like talking about anything below the waist, especially men. They’d rather ignore it, not go to the doctor and hope it goes away.
The statics will say that 1 in 8 men will be diagnosed with Prostate cancer in there life.
If you have a history of prostate cancer in you're family - the risk goes up to a 1 in 4 chance.
Our guest today was diagnosed with terminal prostate cancer at the age of just 49.
He was then given the news that he was expected to live for just 2 more years.
The cold reality of leaving behind his wife and three children began to set in, but instead of staying there, he decided to live each day to the fullest.
Since his diagnoses in 2014, he has gone on to run several marathons, ultra marathons and has completed the toughest foot race on the planet - the Marathon de Sables a record 4 times.
He was getting ready to tackle his 5th when covid struck..so what did he do? Well he trained for it… so he completed it by running around his front and back garden until he achieved the equivalent distance!
He has since raised more then £500k for Prostate Cancer UK - has helped raise a huge amount of awareness - and is about to release his book ‘Dead Man Running’
Ladies and gentlemen … allow me to introduce … Kevin Webber.
