My guest today is a personal trainer who has taken some significant leaps of faith in his coaching career.
Erwin Regidor has had a very unique and exciting career journey that started back in the day when he was playing American Football and following a bodybuilding style of training.
Erwin competed in amateur bodybuilding events before setting his sights on the marines. He knew his training approach needed to change, and that's when he discovered CrossFit.
He later left his unfulfilling corporate career and started his coaching career at a CrossFit gym in Santa Cruz.
After a few years of coaching, he took his first BIG leap of faith and moved to China to take on the role of head coach at one of the first CrossFit gyms in Shanghai.
A few years later, he would take a second leap of faith and move his career online.
Erwin puts a lot of this down to luck, but over the years you see that Erwin has established himself as a reputable and trustworthy coach.
Being a personal trainer can be challenging at times, and it can be hard to "take a leap of faith" in our careers and walk away from the career security we have. We have a sense of loyalty to our clients, gym members, colleague and even our employer.
However, sometimes we need to take that leap of faith to move forward in our careers.
Erwin shares some great insights into his career journey, and those of you considering a change your coaching role will enjoy this episode.
Let's get stuck in. I hope you enjoy this conversation with Erwin Regidor.
