For hundreds of years, black women have been at the bottom of the totem pole when it comes to equality in the medical industry, equality movements such as women's suffrage, police brutality recognition and career choices. Constantly told to sit down and be quiet, to even be grateful. Many of us have had the unfortunate experience of being under treated when we go in for care and many of our sisters do not make it our alive due to that lack of care. Fighting fights alone because we are seen as "the strong one". Beginning movements but somehow being excluded from reaping the benefits. Inspiring change all around the world, yet the last thought on everyones mind. When battles are said and done, we are still running the race and fighting to be heard.
When does it stop? When will our pain and endurance begin to be seen as a fact and not opinion?
We are not victims... We are warriors!
We're talking about it so let's dive right on in!
