Across the animal kingdom, sex is biological. No other species has ever “transitioned” for identity. In human history, we see eunuchs and coercion — but never systematic medical attempts to alter healthy bodies for psychological distress.

Gender-affirming interventions — puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, surgeries — are not grounded in biology or history. They represent something new: a cultural experiment with irreversible consequences.

Here’s the reality:

• These procedures alter healthy organs instead of treating disease.
• The long-term science is thin, built on short-term and small-scale studies.
• The risks are permanent: infertility, loss of sexual function, and surgical complications.

And what about children?

Even one case of regret is one too many. In every other area of pediatrics, rare mistakes trigger recalls, reform, and outrage. But here, irreversible harm is excused as “rare.”

That double standard must end.

Our position is clear:

✅ Adults should have the liberty to make their own choices.

❌ But children deserve protection, with a zero-tolerance standard for irreversible harm.

And if harm does occur? Malpractice compensation should be so extensive that no doctor dares to experiment on a child without undeniable proof of safety, which does not exist today.

This is not about politics.

It’s about ethics, biology, and protecting the next generation.
