Covering 70% of the earth’s surface, our oceans absorb 90% of the world’s heat and one third of all human-produced carbon dioxide. They are the beating heart of our planet, which is why preserving them is a challenge we must rise to.

Callum Roberts, Professor of Marine Conservation in the Centre for Ecology and Conservation at the University of Exeter's Cornwall campus gives an insight into how we can protect our oceans and some of the specific research taking place at the University.
