We need protection from the evil inside of us and the evil outside of us.

Lead us not into temptation tells us we cannot trust ourselves.

Deliver us from evil tells us we cannot trust our enemy.

Our only hope is the true Hero, Jesus himself, who defeats our enemy and our fallen nature at the same time.
