Welcome back to Daily Dose with Pastor Josh Mayo!
Today’s Proverb reminds us of the power of restraint:
“Sin is not ended by multiplying words, but the prudent hold their tongues.” — Proverbs 10:19
Words can quickly outrun wisdom. We don’t need to win every argument or fill every silence. Scripture teaches that discretion protects us, and that maturity often shows up in what we choose not to say. Wisdom knows when silence speaks louder than explanation.
Today, slow your responses. Let your words be few, thoughtful, and measured. There is holiness in restraint, and peace often follows a guarded tongue.
