* Profit is not the surplus in your account at the end of the month.

* Profit is anything that leads to LIFE!

* Mark 8:36 - “What does it profit a man if he gains the whole world but forfeits his life?”

* Proverbs 10:16 - “The wages of the righteous is LIFE, but the earnings of the wicked are sin and death.”

* A wage is something that is earned - you have to work for it.

* Righteous is to be in “right relationship” with God. Two components:

* 1) Salvation is where you enter into “right relationship” with God based on Christ’s death (the switch).

* ** Salvation is about Christ carrying HIS cross.

* ** Salvation is righteousness for our life in eternity.

* ** Salvation is heaven coming into you.

* 2) Sanctification is where we live in “right relationship” with God.

* ** Sanctification is about us carrying OUR cross.

* ** Sanctification is righteousness for our life in history (on earth).

* ** Sanctification is heaven coming out of you.

* A “righteous” person still needs to live righteously through OBEDIENCE.

* Deuteronomy 30:15 - “…Today, I am giving you a choice between life and death, between prosperity and disaster…”

* This was written to God’s kids!

* How do we live righteously?

* ** Consider Him FIRST! Before you act, you ASK (What would God have me do?)

* Matthew 6:33 - “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and HIS righteousness…”

* Christ carried His cross, now we have to carry ours (walk in obedience).

* What’s the reward for this?

* LIFE!
