The popular bible verse proverbs 13:14 reads "Spare the rod and Spoil the child". Our parents employed this well-known adage very frequently at any slight provocation. Some term the use of the "rod" as abuse while others say it is a form of discipline. The issue is, times have changed, that form of discipline cannot be employed across the world anymore as it is now frowned on in some parts. For us, the question is, how would you discipline your kids so that they can turn out right? Would you still turn to the old bible saying or you would employ and become innovative with new methods of discipline.
