In an age that idolizes youth, we need to be reminded of the glory of gray hair. Age is earned over a long life, and wisdom generally is with the elderly. We would do well to honor age, seek out the wisdom of the elderly, and labor to become ones who can pass along wisdom to the next generation. None can make himself or another mature, but in Christ and by the power of his Holy Spirit we are being matured day by day, and are used as his instruments in disciplining the next generations.
