Mark 8:35 (I say 8:34, but meant 35).  "For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake and the gospel's will save it." 
Mark 12:24  Jesus said to them, "Is this not the reason you are wrong, because you know neither the Scriptures nor the power of God?"  Boom drop the mic.
