Proverbs 19 | Purpose That Prevails
Welcome back to Daily Dose with Pastor Josh Mayo!
Today’s verse reminds us of the purpose that prevails:
"Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails." - Proverbs 19:21
Dreams and plans are good to have, but God's purpose is greater. His sovereignty turns detours into destinations. It’s a great thing to have dreams, but I think you will find that God’s thoughts for you are greater than your thoughts for you.
Can you trust God’s ‘no’? There may be dreams you really do desire, but you feel that God is saying no to. Can you trust that His ‘no’ is as purposeful as His ‘yes’? His destinations are actually the direction to your ultimate dreams.
