Meekness may not be the most exciting of virtues. But it is a lovely gem, which at first glance is "drably unassertive." Our first response to offense is to defend our honor. However, Proverbs teaches us that it is more honorable to let an offense pass. Jesus was the meekest person who ever lived. He stooped so low, despite being God almighty, and all for our salvation.
