God gives knowledge and wisdom to those who freely seek it and those who reject it are also rejected when they suffer the consequences of their foolish ways. A life of peace or a life of misery? I think it's an easy choice. I would choose wisdom every time. "but whoever listens to me will dwell secure and will be at ease, without dread of disaster." (Probervs 1:33).
