Did you know that an estimated 1.8 billion people around the world experience some form of disability? That’s around 13% of the global population. Many of whom are or could be, your clients. If your salon, clinic or spa is not accessible for people who have a disability, it means that you could be alienating a large number of potential clients without even knowing.

As we explain the definition of disability, explore general guidelines and offer some advice on how you can make your space more accessible for people who are differently abled, it’s important to understand that creating a safe and open space where clients feel comfortable telling you what they need, and you being able to provide this, is vital.
