After a year of hunger, thirst, warfare, complaints, sin, judgement, in-fighting and loss of life, the Glory of God descended on the camp, securing His presence among the people of Israel. Why would God manifest His presence after such a year of backsliding? Because God's love for us, and His passion to be in proximity to us, is greater than our sins.
