Local fruit is delicious and nutritious. Make sure your crop is market ready. Take steps early to clean up your plants and use preventative measures to keep fungi and disease from taking hold.  Prune while your trees and vines are dormant and remove any old fruit. Watch buds and temperatures to set up a spray schedule based on last year’s problems. Don’t look at your damaged or mummified fruit at the end of the season and ask, “What could I have done to keep this from happening?”
