PS5 External Hard Drive Update

Listen Later

The PS 5 just recently got storage for its system, and I think it's just unacceptable for systems to be released without external storage, especially since they're getting like $500 of our money each time or if you bought it on eBay, even more. The idea that new video game systems do not have external hard drive storage starting out, just seems absolutely unacceptable. I know there are technical issues, but honestly, every computer can use a USB port to hard drive. There is no reason why the PS five should have been released without a hard drive in it. That allows external hard drives. This is just a way to drive sales for the system and almost seems like it's a very simple software update that every computer can handle. I don't understand why the PS five had to wait so long to get a hard drive system in place that could hold games. I've also heard that there's some limited features to even having the hard drive, it's not even on par with the ps4. There has to be a better way in the future, to bring these systems together when it comes to external hard drives, when gaming companies stop the use of external hard drives, it causes problems for gamers, they run out of space, very quickly. This is why it's also important to allow this to be there, then people will buy more of your games in the long run because they'll have space on their hard drives, as we go into a more digital world, external hard drives have to be an option. I'm sorry gaming companies should not be charging more for a 500 gigabyte hard drive that is considered very small at this point in time. These are just thoughts, but the idea that a hard drive is still not part of the system when you buy it, that you can't just plug in our hard drive and our next generation system is just simply old technology, and it almost seems kind of greedy. There needs to be a way, and the future, especially since we're going to a more digital economy is stop such moments where companies are able to get away with not having an external hard drive. If they're going to charge for digital games like they are now, and people want to have these on their systems. It takes up space and hard drives, need to be there for those digital games. So there is absolutely no reason why gaming companies should be holding back with external hard drives and they should be providing that support. Because it's needed. people use external hard drives for their games because they're more reliable than just an SD card. The newer next generation systems don't support, SD cards. This makes it even more important that there is support for external hard drives. Now I'm not even gonna go Nintendo Switch and how hard is to get stuff off their systems hard drive. In the end, it's totally up to the gaming companies, but from a marketing perspective, it seems smart if you're trying to push digital to allow external hard drives from the get go. And not waiting almost six months before it's even available and not having full features.
