Thanks for being a listener to The Curiosity Hour Podcast. The world is facing a major public health crisis with the SARS-CoV2/COVID-19 pandemic. We believe this is a serious situation and we encourage our listeners to join us in helping to protect the vulnerable among us and protect our healthcare workers and those on the front lines of this pandemic response.
First, please regularly wash your hands and spend about 20 or so seconds washing. Focus especially on your fingertips.
Next, try to avoid touching your face as much as possible as this virus can infect people through the mouth, nose, and eyes.
Please practice physical social distancing and stay at home. People are the fuel to this virus and if we can stay inside, we can help to prevent it spreading so we can protect those most vulnerable to this virus, including the elderly and immunocompromised.
Practicing physical social distancing is also a way to help out our healthcare professionals who are providing critical care at hospitals and clinics to those dealing with complications from COVID-19. These healthcare workers need our help to prevent the healthcare system from being overwhelmed with cases.
Remember to keep in touch with your family and friends via phone, text, and email. Check up on people and keep your connections, even when you can’t physically be in the same space.
And finally, be kind. Be kind to others as this is a stressful time for all of us to navigate this challenge and all the future uncertainties. And be kind to yourself. As always, even in the midst of all of this, remember to stay curious! We’re going to do our best to keep putting out new episodes and feel free to check out any of our previous episodes that you haven’t had a chance to listen to yet.
