Today, we’re in Psalm 100, a song often called a psalm of thanksgiving and, more than likely, a psalm with which you’re familiar.
Let’s read together Psalm 100...
1. Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth!
2. Serve the Lord with gladness! Come into his presence with singing!
3. Know that the Lord, he is God! It is he who made us, and we are his;
we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
4. Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise!
Give thanks to him; bless his name!
5. For the Lord is good;
his steadfast love endures forever,
and his faithfulness to all generations.
I’m sure you heard the reminders in verses 1 and 2 to be joyful, glad, and come to God with singing, in verse 3 to be submissive to the Father because He made us, and in verses 4 and 5 to be thankful because He is truly and always good, His unfailing love lasts forever, and because His faithfulness, His trustworthiness, His integrity lasts for all generations — from now through eternity. Remember, He never changes!
May you live deeply into your calling this week.
