In this message, we consider Psalm 100, a psalm of thanksgiving to God for the glorious advent of the kingdom of God on earth. Then we examine Psalm 101, a psalm in which David speaks of the glorious future he is going to have in the kingdom of God. When David speaks of the perfect government and righteous court he is going to have, we do not see the starry-eyed idealism of a young David imagining how great his court is going to be before he grew up and had to settle for the sad reality of the way his court really was. Instead, we see a Divine revelation of the perfect court David will preside over in the coming Kingdom of God, when David is raised from the dead to rule over Israel once again.
