In Psalm 148, 149, & 150, the emphasis of the psalmist is on praising and worshiping the Lord with everything in us - our entire being - heart and soul. All of creation praises the Lord and worships the Lord simply by doing what God commands. We are created in God's very image and yet we struggle the most with humbly submitting ourselves to the Lord and honoring and glorifying Him in all we do and say. All the earth praises the Lord and God calls us to praise Him too. The best remedy for a downward spirit is to crank up some worship music and sing out to God with all your guts. It works for me every time. No matter what, I will praise the Lord. Through any and every storm, I will praise the Lord. Because I choose to worship my God and Creator with everything I've got in me, and you can too. The Book of Psalm ends with "Let everything that breathes sing praises to the Lord! Praise the Lord!" He is worthy, so make an intentional choice give Him all your praise today and every day that follows.
