Appropriate praise to God is one of the fruit we produce as believers who appreciate the amazing grace, love and mercy we dwell in.  The right kind of praise glorifies God and this is the chief end of man; to glorify God and enjoy Him forever.  This psalm written by a heart full of the knowledge of God and His sovereign majesty, gives Him glory for His astonishing works.  Recalling God's greatness and goodness is a most excellent way of giving Him the praise due to His magnificent majesty.
