Nature shows us the Lord and even more perfectly does His word reveal His character, ways, power, and plans – all of which are good for us as humans who need : restoration… wisdom… instruction… joy… an eternal perspective… and something which is an absolute – a true, right standard – by which we can judge ourselves.
As God reveals Himself and His ways – we will find ourselves lacking just as David did. We need to be warned of sin, to be convicted of sin, to find that we fall short of the glory of God, to find that we need forgiveness.
Psalm 19 tells us that God's Word does this for us.
This lecture follows the workbook lessons on Psalms 17 and 18. This weekly women’s Bible study includes my lectures which coordinate with the study guide “Come, Let Us Worship” which can be found on Amazon. Click here for more information on this study.
The Psalms prompt us to turn to the Lord and see that He is with us every moment of our lives, sovereign, faithful, loving, wise, and worthy of all our devotion. They remind us that the Lord God is our great and glorious King who one day will reign on the earth. While we wait for Him, and when we see Him… come, let us worship the King.
