In this sermon, we dive into Psalm 22 and the cry of the Psalmist when he proclaims, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?" We look at the psalm in light of Jesus quoting it on the cross and the difficult, beautiful, challenging, and encouraging implications of Jesus taking on this Psalm in His final moments. We learn how God joins us in solidarity in our pain and ultimately leads us through death even though we may not be delivered from death. Psalm 22 invites us to express the pain we all face as we journey through life and then discover healing at the foot of the cross.
