Our psalmist is not afraid to cry out to God when he knows he needs God's protection. He knows he cannot cope with everything on his own. He trusts in God so is confident God will faithfully respond. Jesus prays for God's protection for us too.

Psalms express every experience of life, every emotion and situation human beings can face They  point us to the God who made us and loves us.  And give glimpses of Jesus and the hope and life he offers us.
