In Psalm 31 David teaches us to trust God when others do evil. To ask God for His mercy when others cause us pain. Giving God glory in every situation.
19 How great is the goodness
you have stored up for those who fear you.
You lavish it on those who come to you for protection,
blessing them before the watching world.
20 You hide them in the shelter of your presence,
safe from those who conspire against them.
You shelter them in your presence,
far from accusing tongues.
Psalm 31:19-20
In all 24 verses there is so much power, goodness, and depth. David had a lot of troubles, yet he puts his hope and trust in God. David paints a picture of the Good Shepherd as he describes the Lord's protection, presence, and provision.
Dear shepherd leader, we are in a battle. Not only for ourselves, but also for those He has entrusted to us. The Good Shepherd will give us the strength we need. May we take refuge in Him. Like David, let us place our hope and trust in the Lord.
