GOD said you have to acknowledge your sin to Him in order to be forgiven my friend. He doesn't want us carrying the weight of our transgressions bc that's how the enemy can trigger us into condemnation. You do not move the same when your conscience is guilty. More importantly Father wants us to be receptive to change and not be obstinate. A stubborn heart can lead to a stagnant life.

Jesus told the woman "GO and sin no more. Your sins are forgiven." John 8:11

For us to walk in the favor of that freedom we must turn from our wicked ways.
