In this sermon, we dive into Psalm 32. We explore guilt and shame and the roles these play in our lives. The Psamist expresses a physical pain of wasting away when they tried to do life on their own, hiding their sin from God. The Good News of the Psalm is the freedom the Psalmist experiences when God lifts the burden of their sin and frees them to be who God created them to be. It's easy to live with a sense of shame about who we are, even after God forgives us. We explore where this deeper shame comes from and how we can be free from it's grasp.
