It’s wonderful to read Psalm 51 at the beginning of this new year of 2021! It’s also wonderful to be reading this psalm as we watch all the current events happening around us in the world right now. Psalm 51 gives us the perspective that we need in our individual lives to walk humbly with our God. It also shows us the need that every person on earth has: to be forgiven of sin and to be transformed by the power of God. Read it for yourself, and if God gives you the opportunity… encourage someone to read Psalm 51. **** This weekly women's Bible study includes lectures by me, Elizabeth Bagwell Ficken, which coordinate with the study guide "Come, Let Us Worship" which can be found on Amazon. More info at my website https://www.elizabethficken.com The Psalms prompt us to turn to the Lord and see that He is with us every moment of our lives, sovereign, faithful, loving, wise and worthy of all our devotion. They remind us that the Lord God is our great and glorious King who one day will reign on the earth. While we wait for Him, and when we see Him... come, let us worship the King.
