In Psalm 76, 77, & 78, we read about connecting with God emotionally as Asaph pours his heart out sincerely to God, giving God every emotion. God wants us to know Him. He is present and wants us to enjoy His presence. He wants us to experience Him. He wants us to trust Him and let Him revive us. He wants us to love Him in reverent respect and honor for who He is. He wants us to fear Him knowing He is God - the God of the cosmos and holds all power and authority. He wants us to obey Him out of passionate love for Him. He wants us to pursue Him and pursue a deeper, intimate, and sincere relationship with Him. If we do, our lives will reflect Him and His character because we are His and we belong to Him. God will turn our despair into joyous deliverance if we are willing to humble our lives and hearts to Him and let Him move in them. He wants us to keep our eyes and hearts laser focused on Him and trust Him wholeheartedly with all our guts.
