In Psalm 86, 87, 88, & 89, each of the writers are experiencing the various highs and lows of life. Much like we all do which is why the Psalms are so real and relatable. What we continually see in these chapters is the persistence of prayer. They each pray - a lot. They talk to God honestly, openly, and intimately. God wants a real and honest and personal relationship with all of us. Some people get by with putting on a fake mask at church on Sunday's, but God will never settle for that. He wants you - all of you - wholeheartedly trusting and believing Him. He wants you to believe His love, believe His comfort, believe His kindness, believe His goodness, and believe His redemption plan and the sacrifice Jesus came and made for us. Believe we are righteous in Him and have the power of the Holy Spirit in us to pursue His holiness. He wants us to believe He is returning sooner than later and His Kingdom is eternal. He wants us to let Him be Lord of all of our lives knowing He has good things planned for us now on earth as well as for eternity - even if it doesn't "feel" like it at the moment. We keep on praying, keep on believing, and keep clinging to Jesus with all our guts and every last exhale - heart and soul.
