It may surprise you to find a psalm entitled “A Despairing Lament” in the Bible! I know it surprised me at first. I struggled with this psalm for many years, but today I’ll share both Psalm 88 itself and how a spiritual mentor opened my eyes to what I think is the most significant revelation of all when it comes to this and all the other psalms in Scripture.
